2026 Girona cycling survey

We are exploring a cycling trip to Girona, Spain next spring. It will be led by Eneas Freyre, owner of TTE and former pro cyclist and a world champion duathlete, and Tyler Colman, a James Beard-nominated author of two wine books who leads tours in France, Spain and Italy. This trip is primarily for TTE members and their friends.

Girona is a renowned cycling destination favored by many pros during the off-season for its excellent roads and climbs. An hour north of Barcelona, it is also one of the most compelling culinary destinations in the country. This tour will feature six days of riding, six nights’ accommodations at a 4-star hotel in the center of Girona, all breakfasts and dinners, as well as a wine tasting one night, a winery visit and other cultural activities. Participants can bring their own bike or rent a very nice bike locally for a fee.

We will ride some epic roads and climb a couple of peaks over 3,000’. Each day will be between 50-120 kms and riders should be able to maintain 2 watts/kg.

The dates are March 8 - 14, 2026. The pricing is not finalized but would be approximately $4.900 per person based on double occupancy. Travel companions who are not riding are welcome—there are many fun, touristy, relaxing things to do.
